After his military service, John played in many bands and bounced around the music scene. In 2004 he began to teach. He has made his home at Sound Check Music Center for much of this time. His current musical efforts are with the band Dave and the Cool Beans and Lyman Gilmore School in Grass Valley. He continues to teach children and adults with a heavy focus on foundation.
